Get Off Of Your Phone!

Hello, friends! Whenever I go somewhere, whether it's a restaurant or to the store or somewhere where there's just people in general, do you know what I see? Phones. They're everywhere. People are glued to their phones, that blue light forever shining a cast on their hypnotized faces. There's nothing wrong with being on your phone, but when it prevents you from being social with other people, Houston, we have a problem.
The main thing I'm talking about is when two or three people are sitting together at lunch ,whether it's with friends or on a date and one or more people is on their phone. I know that there are cases when you have to check your phone for a call from your parents, or whatever, but attention needs to be called when you are sitting with someone at lunch and the entire time, both you and your friend are on you all's phone. What happened to talking? Is it too much of a request to actually sit down with someone and (God forbid) talk to them?
Believe it or not, it's rude being with someone and having your eyes glued to your phone. It shows the other person that not only are you not capable of carrying on an intelligent conversation, but you are more interested in your Instagram feed than the other person. That, my friends, is rude. My challenge to you is to put down the phone. When you're with someone, enjoy the moment. Believe me, you'll have so much more fun if you are present and enjoying the other person's presence. Just try it. Please. Don't let the world be under the control of a generation of socially inept civilians who can't carry on a conversation without the use of a keyboard.
