Covergirl Full Lash Bloom Mascara Review

Hello, friends! How are you? I hope you're having an amazing 2015 so far! Today, I am doing a review on the Covergirl Full Lash Bloom Mascara that arrived in the drugstore recently. Let's get into this!

Background: This mascara claims to make your lashes full and soft with its new "petal shaped brush".

Price: $6.99

Extra Info: I bought mine in the waterproof formula

Packaging: The packaging is bright and pink, which is really nice. The brush is medium sized and reminds me of the LashBlast wand.

Shade Range: As usual, there are 3 shades: black, very black, and black brown. Mine is in black.

Application: Upon the initial application of this product, I noticed that the brush is made of a very stiff plastic and actually hurts to apply. I keep scraping my lash line with the wand, which is really uncomfortable. The mascara makes my lashes full, but does nothing to lengthen them, which is important to me. I didn't notice any volume build up, so that was disappointing. After wearing this for a couple hours, I did notice that it didn't fade or smudge.

Final Thoughts: I don't really like this mascara. Though it makes my lashes look full, they aren't lengthened or volumized by this mascara. It also really hurts to apply, which is disappointing.

Rating: 3/5

I hope you enjoyed this review! Let me know if you found this to be helpful!

2014 Beauty Favorites

Hello, friends! Welcome to 2015! It's the new year, which means a fresh start! I have a ton of new posts for you guys to start off this year, but we are going to start with a yearly favorites for 2014. Alas! Here are my beauty favorites for 2014!

Skin Care

  • St. Ives Green Tea Scrub: This scrub has done absolute wonders for my skin! It's exfoliating without being overly abrasive and clears my breakouts. This has been an essential in my skin care routine.
  • Target Makeup Remover Wipes: These makeup wipes are from the Up&Up brand at Target and are the knockoff for the Simple Cleansing Wipes. These are super wet and take off all of my makeup without irritating my skin. They're my absolute favorite!
Body
  • Marc Jacobs Eu So Fresh: I've been using this fragrance throughout the entire year and it's a favorite of mine. I love the bottle and feel really fancy when I spray it on! It has a strong floral scent, yet it's light and "eu so fresh".
  • Aveeno Lotion: This lotion has been great for my dry skin this whole year. It's fool-proof: hydrating and not greasy on the skin.

Makeup
  • Covergirl 3 in 1 Foundation: This foundation is so great! It gives amazing coverage, while not being cake-y on the skin. It just leaves the skin looking smooth and basically flawless. I love it and it's perfect for my oily skin.
  • Benefit Coralista: I know you guys have heard a ton about this blush from me, but it's really my favorite. It's a really nice, shimmery coral color and leaves the cheeks with a gorgeous glow.
  • Loreal Butterfly Mascara: I must say that this is my all-time favorite mascara. I think it's better than my expensive mascaras! It gives my tiny eyelashes a ton of length and volume, while flaring my lashes out at the end. It's absolutely amazing.
  • Revealed Palette: I have gotten so much use out of this palette. It's by Coastal Scents is a dupe for both the Naked 1 and 2 Palettes, so it has a ton of neutral colors. This palette is great for everyday use and can be used to create a ton of looks. I also love how high quality the shadows are and only $20 for the whole thing!
  • NYX HD Eye Primer: This is an everyday essential for me. My eyelids are really oily and eyeshadows tend to crease on me within hours. However, when I use this primer, my eyeshadow stays on all day with no problems at all. I would say that this primer is a great dupe for the Urban Decay Primer Potion and I highly recommend it.
  • Milani Brow Kit: This is the perfect brow kit for everyday use. It comes with 2 brow shades, a highlight shade, tweezers, a sponge applicator, and an angled brush. I use this every single day and it has yet to fail me.
  • Rosebud Lip Salve: This product is perfect for my lips. It makes them really soft and supple, while smelling like a rose bush. What more could you need? It's a beauty staple.
  • Real Techniques Brushes: I discovered these brushes this year, and I'm obsessed. The brushes are of extremely high quality and work really well. I especially love the buffing brush that blends foundation like a dream.

Hair
  • Tresemee Heat Protectant: This heat protectant is a staple in my hair care routine. I don't use heat often, but when I do, this is great for protecting my hair from getting fried. I love how the spray nozzle works, because it sprays a fine, even mist all over the hair.

Nails

  • Sinful Colors Hazard: I love the Sinful Colors nail polishes! They're so cheap and work so well! I especially love this gorgeous coral color. It's great for the spring/summer time.
  • Sinful Colors Endless Blue: I woud have to say that this is my favorite nail polish of the year. It's such a beautiful blue color and I absolutely love it.
Alright guys! Thank you so much for your support on this blog! This has been an amazing year and I am so happy that I was able to share it with you guys! Have an amazing 2015.

2014 Non-Beauty Favorites

Hello, friends! Welcome to 2015! It's the new year, which means a fresh start! I have a ton of new posts for you guys to start off this year, but we are going to start with a yearly favorites for 2014. As you guys know, I always do my favorites posts by starting with non-beauty favorites and then move to beauty favorites. Alas! Here are my non-beauty favorites (lifestyle) for 2014.

Music

  • Phantom of the Opera: I discovered Phantom at the beginning of 2014 and I fell in love. The music is so good and I love the operatic quality. You guys know how much I love the music from this show!
  • Love Never Dies: Along with Phantom, the sequel Love Never Dies was a year long favorite for me. I love LND's music and have sang along to it all year round.
  • Banana Pancakes by Jack Johnson: I discovered Jack Johnson early this year from my best friend, Savannah, and this song is simply my anthem. It's got a really chill vibe and always puts me in a good mood when I listen to it.
  • Best Day Of My Life by American Authors: I just love this song! It's great to listen to in the morning to get the blood flowing and to energize. It's really upbeat and I have listened to it all year round!
TV
  • New Girl: How can I do a favorites post without mentioning New Girl? This show is absolutely hilarious and never fails to make me LOL. The characters in the show are so funny and I love how lighthearted it is.
  • Carrie Diaries: This show is a spinoff of "Sex In The City", featuring Carrie Bradshaw as a teenager in the 80s. This show is really fun to watch! It's funny and witty, yet it has a lot of heart. The "Carrie Diaries" is definitely a 2014 favorite.
  • Orange Is The New Black: This show is so amazing! It's about a woman who goes to prison for something she did ten years ago and the show follows her life in a women's prison. I love learning about the stories of all the different characters in the show, as well as following the drama that goes down. I definitely recommend watching OITNB.
Movies
  • Cry Baby: I discovered this movie early this year and fell in love. It's a spoof of Grease, starring Johnny Depp (my favorite). The movie is so funny and has a lot of great music in it! I love it!
  • Phantom Of The Opera: Duh! This is the movie of the year for me. For those of you who don't know what it's about, this movie/show takes place in 18th? century France in an opera house. It's about a young opera singer who is the object of desire from the opera's "phantom". The show is absolutely amazing and I definitely recommend seeing it! Look up the version on Netflix!
Books
  • Divergent by Veronica Roth: I read this book this year and I really loved it! It's about a utopian society in which the society is divided into factions based on personality traits. If you haven't read this book yet, where have you been? Read it!
  • Looking For Alaska by John Green : I read this book over the summer and I really enjoyed it! It's a nice, light read but it's written by the genius of John Green, so you can expect depth. It's about this guy who goes to a summer camp/ boarding school and meets very interesting friends along the way. Love this book!
YouTube Channels

  • Ingrid Nilsen/Missglamorazzi: Ingrid is my favorite YouTuber of all time! She's so sweet and fun to watch! She has really grown this year, in her style and life. I really look up to her and think she's amazing.
  • Here's the link to her channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/missglamorazzi
  • Blogilates: Blogilates is a YouTube Channel created by Cassey Ho, who is a pilates fitness instructor. I do her videos to keep in shape, and she definitely kicks your butt! However, I really enjoy doing her workout videos because she makes them really fun and entertaining! Definitely check her out!
  • Here's the link to her channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIJwWYOfsCfz6PjxbONYXSg
  • Sacconejolys: I love the Sacconejolys! They're a family who live in England who do blogs every single day. The family is comprised of Anna and Jonathan (the parents) and their two kids, Emilia and Eduardo. Their videos never fail to make me smile and I love watching their daily adventures!
  • Here's the link to their channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/LeFloofTV
Food
  • Pho: I discovered Pho this year, and I absolutely love it. Pho (fuh) is a Vietnamese dish that is basically a soup. It has noodles, vegetables, and meat all in this delicious broth! Let me tell you, I am addicted! Try it!
Alright, guys! I hope you enjoyed this blog post! 2014 was a really great year, and I can't believe how quickly it flew by! I hope you had a great year and that 2015 will be even better! Love you!
