Hello, friends! We live in a world where people are put down (emotionally) for thinking with a positive attitude. No one should be happy. Ever. Right? Wrong. To be happy, it's important to maintain a positive attitude. Not only will this help you deal with things that suck, but also give people some hope, too. To have this positive, we need to do a couple of things. Number one: get rid of the negativity. How do you do that? Follow me.
Start by getting all the crap and bad stuff out of your life. If someone has repeatedly been a bad friend to you, let them go. You don't need that in your life. If you are living with people who make you unhappy, find a way to change that. If you can't, you're better off without them. Surround yourself with people that make you happy and make you feel like you can be yourself. Don't set your expectations too high, though. Nobody's perfect.
As far as social media goes, do a cleansing. Maybe there's one twitter account that constantly complains about life and it's been getting on your nerves. Unfollow them! You don't need to deal with that. Maybe someone sent you a hurtful text or you had a bad text argument with someone. Delete the messages. Delete them. Send them away. You know you're going to keep looking back at them, so save yourself the trouble. Know that you don't have to deal with negativity if you can get rid of it. Surround yourself with positive energy and inspiration.
Another way to get rid of negativity is to simply block it out. Rise above it. Did I write a post about that? Yes I did! Go look at it!
I know that this was a really short post, but I just wanted to add my bit about maintaining a positive attitude. I tend to write when something has happened that I have learned from, and I want to share with you guys. I hope you enjoyed this post. I will see y'all next time,

Rise Above It
Hello, friends! Today I'm going to talk to you about the importance of being the better person. I know that this is a concept that we are all told to maintain, but it's very hard sometimes. Believe me, I know. We are all tempted to go the easy way and give in to negativity or doing something hurtful. However, it is important to rise above it. Not only will this put you in a position of growth, but it will strengthen you, as well.
Sometimes, we are just put into crappy situations. I know that I've had my fair share. For example, there was this one fight that I got into with a friend. We just weren't seeing eye to eye, and it would have been so easy to pick a fight and argue. There is a certain thrill one gets from a heated text argument. However, when I was at conflict with this person, I chose to be the better person. I tried to fix this wrong, even though I was pretty sure I was right. This does two things: drives the other person crazy and makes you into a better person. Always choose the higher road. When you're fighting with some, just apologize. It's like ripping off a bandaid. It sucks, but get it over with and move on.
I always talk about inner beauty on this blog, and choosing a higher path is a way to make yourself appear beautiful on the outside, and be beautiful on the inside, as well.

Real Techniques Brush Review: Core Collection

The product I picked up was the Real Techniques: Core Collection. This set comes with four different brushes and a case/stand. It retails for about $17-20, but I purchased mine with a coupon for $13. You can find these brushes at your local drugstore, Target, Kohls, or Ulta. I'm sure other places have these brushes, as well. This product claims to give the face an airbrushed look in any lighting and to have ultra plush bristles.
I really like the packaging. The stems of the brushes have a matte, metallic orange color and seem to be very light. I was extremely impressed with how light these brushes felt. Overall, the bristles seems to be very soft and cushy. I also haven't noticed any fall out. After I cleaned them, I noticed that they dried rather quickly, indicating them to be mostly synthetic.

The second brush is the "pointed foundation brush". This can be used with liquid foundation. I find the pointed brush to be a tad to pointy-almost to a point where it hurts to use it. It could definitely be a lot softer. I also notice that for a foundation brush, the actual brush head is tiny. It's better suited for concealer that foundation, as it doesn't cover large areas of the face.
The third brush in the set is the "buffing brush". This is supposed to be ideal for full coverage application of powder and mineral foundation. This brush seems to be a better fit for liquid foundation than powder. I used this with my foundation, and it blended the product flawlessly and seamlessly. I did apply powder with this, and it worked okay, but I'd rather use a bigger powder brush.
The final brush the set comes with is the "contour brush", used to apply high liter, blush, or bronzer. I find that it works well for all three, but it works especially well for applying concealer in large areas of the face. I'm sure it would work well for foundation, as well, because the bristles aren't too dense and can blend products well.
As for the case, it's well made, but I don't think I'll get much use of it. Overall, I really like the brushes and I'm happy I made the investment in these. I have favorites among the kit, but I think they're really good quality overall. If you are in need of new brushes, I would recommend getting these. You will definitely get your money's worth.
